Sawadee Kha!

I thought it would be fun to post some photos of this bathroom I saw at the Marriott resort when I was in Thailand in 2008.
I love the exotic elephants, the rocks in the sink, and the yellow glow from the lighting.  The one part of this bathroom that I wish you could experience is the lemon grass oil that they had burning.  It was so aromatically ammmmmmazing.

{That's me!}

 Don't you love to travel and experience the different sights and sounds of other cultures?   When Greg and I were staying in Thailand we had the chance to cross off one of our Top 100 and get side by side massages at a resort.
They had vats of rose petals that they washed our feet in, cozy robes and little orchids that they placed in turquoise bowls under our massage table.

If you ever get the opportunity to go to Thailand, make sure you check out the Marriott.  Bye-khona-kha! (That's bye-bye In Thai.)

The Mystery Begins

   My husband and I operate a non-profit Go International and every year we take our interns on a Mystery Trip; a trip in which they have no idea where they are going.  Last year we went to Hong Kong, Thailand, and Philippines.  A series of clues and challenges lead them throughout their journey.
So, if you don't see me around here it's because I am blogging here at Follow The Mystery.  We will be making daily updates to this site and you gotta check back each day so you can hear about our latest adventures.

Our Journey: The photo that started it all

I once got a note from Greg when we were dating that said this:
"The road ahead is yet unseen...
we journey together to live out our dreams."

Greg and I have had the privilege of traveling to more places than most people would be able to see in a life time of vegging out in front of the the travel channel. Better than seeing all these incredible destinations is all the amazing people that we get to meet and help along the way. (See: www.gointernational.tv)

We started taking the journey pics when we were engaged.  It kind of happened by accident.  We were headed to Davids Bridal so my baby sis could try on flower girl dresses.   We saw the fog, grabbed the camera and mom started snapping away.   Since then, every place we go we try to snap one of these pics.  The journey has been exciting and fun.  Plus, there is nothing better than holding your best friends hand as you see the world.
