A little hot glue, a trip to the wedding section at Hobby Lobby and voila! My latest creation- the bird ring!
So, anyone who's been pregnant before knows that (even after a year) if you start to gain a little weight, your stomach looks like a california raisin all over again! In order to motivate myself to get walking Zion and I have been strapping on the baby backpack and hiking our way to various nearby stores. My favorite is Hobby Lobby which is about a three mile walk. Zion loved the bird and (call me snow white) I loved the idea of a bird perched on my hand!
This is the gift I made my husband for our six year anniversary. It is a card I hand made and in it I put six words (one for each year) which have a very special meaning to us.
I love this idea from Oh Hello Friend! Graphic artist Danni Hong made this card which led to an online scavenger hunt for her sweetie. She posted notes, photos and videos online. Creative huh? Get the scoop on how she did it here.
Don't you just love a good prank? Once, I wrapped up a fake mouse inside a box and gave it to my friends mom. She screeeeeeamed when she opened it. Here are some fabulous, and not as mean, April fools jokes from the queen of crafty, Ms. Martha Stewart. Click here to see how you can craft your next prank.
So, what about you? What was your favorite April Fools day prank?
This is actually a project I have been meaning to google for quite some time and then it just popped into my google reader feed and so I have to share! (Speaking of which, does everyone use this free and handy tool from Google? It is such a great way to get a daily does of fresh inspiration and makes it so easy to stay up on every blog or website that you love.) Apartment Therapy has this lovely post about how to make your own mobile. When I was a baby my mom would hang colors in my room as my eyes would mature to see them. I've always thought that her developing that for me in my young age gave me a creative edge over other children and helped develop my love for color. Wouldn't it be fun to create your own mobile for your little one? It's not time for me to make this yet- but maybe you can give it a whirl! Instructions here.
I saw this adorable recipe from Twig and Thistle and I HAD to make it for everybody at the office.
I had to adjust mine a little bit because I could not find flat paper bags that would fit inside the laser printer (as seen in their directions on their blog) so I printed three of the labels up on a page and wrapped my brownies in wax paper. It was a fun and simple project to make and made everyone smile...
You can download the PDF to make the paper bags here. Be sure to browse through the rest of the Twig and Thistle Blog. It is adorable!
